Complete renovation of a house

This complete renovation project aimed to breathe new life into an aging house while preserving its authentic charm and generous proportions. The idea was to create an interior that was warm, elegant, and functional, where every space felt airy and inviting.

From the outset, we chose to preserve the existing architecture, proportions, and volumes of the house to maintain its original character and charm. To bring comfort and a modern touch, we incorporated warm hardwood flooring throughout the living areas, structuring the spaces while providing visual continuity and natural comfort underfoot. The interplay of light was a central element of the project. We worked with multiple, strategic light sources, combining natural light and ambient lighting to highlight each space and create a soft, welcoming atmosphere. A few accent walls were added here and there to energize the space, add character, and emphasize certain architectural angles, without compromising the original spirit of the house. The selection of materials was carefully considered to enhance the feeling of warmth and quality: solid wood, natural textures, noble materials, and meticulous finishes all contribute to creating a harmonious, elegant, and timeless interior. Every choice was made to last and reflect a refined and welcoming style.
The bathroom is a highlight of the project. It combines wood and slate, creating a subtle contrast between warmth and mineral beauty. The freestanding bathtub becomes a true design object, positioned at the center of the space to create a spa-like atmosphere. The chosen materials and thoughtful layout make this space a haven of exceptional relaxation and comfort, perfectly in keeping with the rest of the house.
Every detail of this project was carefully considered to offer a perfect balance between functionality, aesthetics, and comfort, while respecting the unique character of the home. This renovation exemplifies my approach: transforming an aging interior into a modern, warm, and refined space, where every area is designed for well-being and everyday beauty.
